V22 Osprey experience preferred.
The MV-22 Mechanic 1 will be responsible for assisting MV-22 Mechanic 1s, 2s, and 3s with Organizational level troubleshooting, removal, replacement, and/or installation of MV-22 aircraft components which may be dependent upon Airframe/Hydraulic, Flightline/Drive Systems, or Avionics specialty. Dependent upon specialty, job duties may include but are not limited to, landing gear assemblies, hydraulic systems, flight controls and surfaces, actuators and hydraulic components, flight controls and rigging, structural and composite repair, software, multi-function displays, slip-ring assemblies, wiring harnesses, generators, GPS, navigation systems, communications systems, Wiring Interface Assemblies, control units, azimuth switches, engines, gearboxes, rotor hubs, compressors, blades, APUs, fuel systems, drive shafts, flight controls, and all associated and related components. As an MV-22 Mechanic 1, you will perform all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable publications such as the 4790.2 series, IETMS, Technical Directives, and Standard Operating Procedures as required.
Responsibilities:
Assist in scheduled, unscheduled, calendar, conditional, and special inspections as required by Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), IETMS, Technical Directives, Schematics and/or as assigned by Maintenance Control.
Assist in the inspection, removal, replacement, troubleshooting, and rigging of Blade Fold Wing Stow systems and components, engines, gearboxes, drive systems and flight critical component repairs, rigging of flight controls and surfaces, hydraulic components and assemblies, Sliprings, FADECs, WIAs, BFCUs, CMS, and calibration of avionics systems, sub systems, and all related Organizational level components and assemblies as may be required.
Operate support equipment in support of all work center operations to include flight line maintenance and maintenance of installed aircraft systems/components and equipment for work center operations.
Must be able to quickly learn DoD Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS) and all associated maintenance publications, orders, and directives and the processes to document such maintenance actions.
Assist in the completion of scheduled, unscheduled, phase, calendar, conditional, and special inspections as required.
Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data and directives, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Work, cooperate and communicate, as directed, with supervisors, team leaders and coworkers satisfactorily. This includes the professional, mature acceptance of constructive criticism.
Must be team oriented and productive to facilitate other maintenance operations as required.
The MV-22 Mechanic 1 may be required to cross train and assist in multiple specialties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Three (3) years actual and recent systems experience required.
Requires the ability to quickly learn the NALCOMIS reporting system to report and document any discrepancies and repairs while performing maintenance and inspections.
Knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Publications such as the 4790.2D and IETMS to assist in troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions and discrepancies.
Previous CDI experience Preferred.
APU, BFWS, EWIS, Hydraulic Contamination, Fuel Surveillance, Tire and Wheel, and all qualifications as directed.
If military experience, provide JST.
