We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Controller to join our team at our Calgary, Alberta base. The Maintenance Controller is responsible for supporting the Central Mountain Air maintenance control system in areas of defect control, maintenance planning, and technical dispatch. The Maintenance Controller reports directly to the Maintenance Control Manager and indirectly to the Director of Maintenance. A valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license is required for this position.
Job ResponsibilitiesOversight and support the maintenance control system. This includes ensuring all aspects are met to support dispatch of the aircraft.
Maintain compliance to CMA SMS, MCM, and MCP policies and procedures.
Authority for this position included, full authority to remove aircraft from operational status, and MEL extension approval authority.
Plan and issue work packages to the approved AMO in order to comply with the applicable maintenance schedule, mandatory airworthiness limitation requirements and deferred defects.
Defect control includes control of deferred defects in accordance with the Maintenance Control Manual.
Ensure work accomplished on the aircraft supports technical dispatch requirements by review of the described Section of the Maintenance Control Manual.
Communication of technical dispatch allowance with Central Mountain Air dispatch.
Provide support for development and maintaining the Central Mountain Air Maintenance Control Manual.
Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Control Manager.
Job RequirementsValid AME license required.
Must be able to obtain a Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC).
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
Good computer skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, meeting constraining deadlines.
