Technical Functions

• Perform workflow or workload analysis using maintenance scheduling programs
• Coordinate with other employees and monitor maintenance work tasks
• Analyze new and deferred maintenance requirements and make recommendations to production or other groups
• Monitor maintenance work packages for aircraft, engine, or shop maintenance based on maintenance needs
• Set up and track paperwork for aircraft maintenance visits (e.g., C checks, A checks, scheduled visits)
• Assist in tracking actual vs. expected hours worked for various tasks (e.g., labor required to fulfill a maintenance task start to finish)
• Complete required paperwork, as instructed

American Airlines General Functions

• Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies
• Report to position on time, as scheduled, and at assigned station or location, including varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Conduct on-the-job training
• Complete job-relevant trainings
• Adhere to government (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA) regulations
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
• Follow instructions from supervisor/senior management
• Perform duties that require general safety awareness (e.g., when working in an area with moving vehicles)
• Use relevant electronic systems to complete work

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum of one (1) of the following: Certificate of completion of accredited aircraft maintenance school, possess a two (2) year college degree in an aircraft maintenance field, or two (2) years experience in aircraft maintenance and/or flight operations.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language or language native to geographical location.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions in accordance with Company Safety Guidelines.
• Must be willing to work extra hours when there are operational needs, such as weather delays.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.
• Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA).
• Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
• Any subsequent relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.
