Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our Auburn, CA/Vian Enterprises location.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair plant infrastructure, utility systems, and production equipment with supervision. The following responsibilities are typical of what this position may be required to perform, however they are not all inclusive.

Essential Functions:

  • Installs, maintains, and repairs plant equipment, pumps, and motors to meet manufacturer’s specifications and plant standards.
  • Performs daily preventative maintenance (PM) checks & safety checks.
  • Performs general facility maintenance to include flooring, sheet rock, painting, boiler and air conditioning systems, and general interior building maintenance
  • Performs general exterior maintenance to include building upkeep and repairs, parking lot maintenance.
  • General record keeping and filing.
  • May be required to do other duties such as delivery and pick up of tools and equipment, furniture assembly and moving, and the like
  • Works with hazardous materials such as paints and solvents to include storage and shipment.
  • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1+ years experience in industrial maintenance is preferred (Mills, Lathes, Saws, Grinders, Press Drills, etc.)
  • Knowledge: Basic training in the electrical & mechanical trades nice to have
  • Skills/Abilities: Able to interpret schematics & blueprints. Familiar with hazardous waste storage and handling (Oily waste, solvents) preferred. 
  • Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Requirement: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HVAC experience is preferred
  • Forklift certification / experience preferred. 
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) technician experience preferred. 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Standing: 75 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Sitting: 25 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Squatting / bending may be required depending on work task. 
  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 70 pounds
  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 70 pounds
  • Mental/Visual: Use of tools and maintenance equipment
  • Workspace (line, cube, etc): throughout facility

Top Benefits:

Salary range: $23.97 to $30.10. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
