Job Description:

The Manager, Aircraft Records will be responsible for leading and overseeing the recording and posting of aircraft, engine components, and maintenance service records into the electronic tracking software, as well as associated reports and maintain files of associated data.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directing and supervising the Aircraft Records Department staff, ensuring all Records specialists are familiar with and conducting all duties of the department in accordance with the company’s procedures, manufactures procedures, Supporting Internal and External Audits.
  • Maintain accurate, up to date records of the aircraft and components, total time, time since overhaul, time since last inspection, and overhaul data on each aircraft. Maintain electronic maintenance tracking system and component hard cards.
  • Act as Quality Assurance reviewing maintenance log, Component hard cards, maintenance tracking system.
  • Liaison to maintenance team and FAA
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date historical records on each aircraft, engine, and required accessories.
  • Maintain an aircraft status report to keep all maintenance personnel posted on the last inspection and last overhaul of each aircraft.
  • Investigates and corrects computer information problems and other inaccuracies as they arise.
  • Maintain records and time standards of serialized aircraft parts and inspections as set forth by the Maintenance Program and FAA Directives.
  • Completion and submission of all monthly reports, maintenance forecast reports, as well as all other reports required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Audit all maintenance logs before entering data into records. Apply corrections accordingly using red pen. All discrepancies will be brought to the attention of the Chief Inspector.
  • File all maintenance logs. Ensure organized, accurate, and complete files.
  • Process and distribute daily and monthly reports reflecting most current aircraft data.
  • Execute periodic audits of database records to ensure accuracy of content.
  • Respond to inquiries from maintenance department on statistical and historical aircraft data.
  • Manages replacement of FAA Airworthiness Certificates and Aircraft registrations on active aircraft.
  • Assist in preparation of Records’ materials and/or reports requested by other departments or the FAA.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Inspector/Director of Quality.
Job Requirements:

Education, Licenses, Certifications and/or Years of Experience:

  • Minimum Qualifications – 5 years Rotorcraft maintenance technical records experience.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Rotorcraft required. EC225 Super Puma preferred.
  • Knowledge of Safran Makila engines
  • Managerial background or three years supervisory experience.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others on direct team and partner organizations.
  • Well organized, critical thinking, ability to analyze technical data.
  • Enthusiasm for accuracy
  • Aptitude to operate independently in self-directed fashion.
  • Self-directed work ethic with initiative.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to improve processes or procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with WinAir.

  • Ability to manage multiple duties, priorities, and special assignments on a daily basis, corresponding with operational needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods of time, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, etc. not more than 40 lbs.
  • Work may be in hot or cold outdoor and indoor environments.
  • Finger agility for keyboarding
  • Speaking, hearing, and understanding English.
