For this position the candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design, development, and execution of Lab facilities infrastructure for the IFG Hardware Simulation Lab environments including mechanical design, 3D modeling, 2D drawings, parts lists, configuration management, procurement, vendor coordination, fabrication liaison, checkout, troubleshooting, and integration. Includes stress and thermodynamic analysis as required.

Responsibilities may also include design, development and execution of Power Distribution Racks, Hardware-In-The Loop Aircraft equipment consoles, simulation cockpits, image generators, I/O systems, audio/visual equipment, data recording, host computer assemblies, and network equipment racks as required.

Candidate will provide Earned Value Management System (EVMS) inputs to the HW Lead and ensure collaborative support across Hardware design, Build To Print Suppliers, and Build team personnel.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and have an active US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering Degree.

• Experience with interpretation / development of Computer Aided Engineering Design and Parts Lists

• Experience with mechanical design for aircraft and/or lab environment
Desired Skills:
• CATIA V5, MS OFFICE, MS VISIO, AutoCAD, DATABASE Applications Knowledge

• Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter and possess exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
