Company is seeking an NDT Technician. This position is responsible for performing all non-destructive testing duties.
Additional responsibilities include:
Obtains necessary stock, fixtures, tooling and gauging
Performs all specialized inspection techniques including:
Ultrasonics Level II
Mag Particle/Penetrant Level II
Radiographic Testing Level II
Has obtained certifications for appropriate level of inspection and maintained them
Performs audit function in support of operator certification
Trains new employees and Level I Operators for Level II status
Maintains compliance of inspection equipment
Performs computer transactions
Moves parts to, from, within module
Be able to work within and lead teams
Perform radioscopy and computed tomography inspections of aircraft engine turbine airfoils in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Evaluate images and interpret test findings in accordance with manufacturing blue prints, process specifications and work instructions
Accurately document test findings and archive historical records
Effectively communicate information and perform duties in a teaming environment
Perform daily equipment set-up procedures and quality checks
Perform radiation safety surveys and successfully complete annual radiation safety training
Posses the skills and knowledge to setup and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, interpret, evaluate and document findings without supervision
Ability and willingness to work various shifts
Current level 2 certification in radiography meeting National Aerospace Standard (NAS) 410
Previous radiography training and experience must include a minimum of 80 hours formal classroom education, 800 hours radiography experience, and 1600 hours nondestructive testing experience
Demonstrate the ability to apply geometric, trigonometric and algebraic relationships
Thorough knowledge of the scope and limitations of radiographic imaging techniques
Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably technical school background, and demonstration of basic educational competencies (reading, writing)
UT level II certification required
Previous multiple certifications to Level II in the following preferred: MT PT, UT, RT
Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension
Competent with hand tools and experienced with weld equipment
