STS Technical Services is seeking a Naval Field Service Representative to provide on-site support, maintenance, and troubleshooting at a major shipyard in Bath, Maine. This role is critical in ensuring that equipment operates efficiently, meets service requirements, and upholds the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Candidates with electro-mechanical assembly experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for maintenance, repairs, modifications, equipment setup, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Perform hands-on repairs and modifications using hand tools and test equipment.
- Assist in setup, adjustment, and demonstration of complex equipment for operators and end-users.
- Document and report on-site service activities, repairs, and installations.
- Identify, analyze, and repair product failures, including ordering and replacing parts as needed.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work variable shifts, including up to 12-hour shifts, to perform required testing.
- Adhere to on-site scheduling requirements, ensuring no more than five unplanned absences within any rolling 12-month period.
- Support and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience as a Field Service Representative or in a similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a naval yard environment and comply with all safety and security regulations.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a naval shipyard or similar environment.
- Strong background in electro-mechanical assembly and repair.
- Knowledge of military equipment and systems is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in field service operations.
