Northrop Grumman is seeking personnel with P-3 aircraft background to support a maintenance program with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Jacksonville, FL. The CBP P-3 fleet consists of Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long Range Tracker (LRT) high-endurance, all-weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft. The AEW aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U. S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. The LRT aircraft are used to intercept, track airborne and surface threats in source and transit zone countries. The P-3 aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art, highly sophisticated sensor equipment, i.e., radar, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) detecting systems.
Are You ready to put your experience to work here at Northrop Grumman? If so, we need you to join our team as a P-3 SCA Aircraft Servicer. This position is located in Jacksonville, FL. In this position you will support our mission which may include multiple shifts (Days, Nights and Weekends).
This is a Service Contract Act position.
Your duties will include:
• Monitor and service all aircraft systems for day to day flight schedule support, work maintenance requirement cards in relation to daily and turnaround inspections and operate all ground support equipment.
• Use your basic hand tools and toolbox knowledge and be familiar with US Navy Positive Tool Control Program.
• Launch and recover aircraft in accordance with specific guidelines during day and night hours.
• Perform fueling operations using gravity fill and closed circuit refueling methods.
• Service engine oil and hydraulic systems as required.
• Act as a member of an aircraft moving crew when directed.
• Perform aircraft washing and lubrication when assigned.
• Act as a member of the engine rinse team when directed.
• Be familiar with and operate portable firefighting equipment.
• Use provided safety equipment when working with hazardous materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of your assigned work area.
• Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
• Comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
• Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
• May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
• Assist when directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment***This position will rotate shifts based on the operational need of the Program.
Basic QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:- At least 4 years of documented aircraft servicing experience on P-3 or equivalent aircraft
- FAA A&P Certificate
- Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Programs (NAMP) or equivalent
- Current Secret or TS Clearance
- Current CBP Background Investigation
Salary Range: $24 - $29
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
