In this Corporate HSE role, you will provide project management and process improvement leadership establishing strong working relationships within all Honeywell businesses.  A strong focus of this role will be Process Safety in particular the Development and Governance of Honeywells Mechanical Integrity programs.  You will be a key leader to drive improvement in the HSE programs across Honeywell and show sustainable implementation to reduce risk.  

You will accomplish this by establishing strong working relationships with all levels in the organization, and you will be a key HSE Process Safety/Mechanical Integrity resource for Honeywell.  In this role you will implement strong programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices.  You will have responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining management systems and management operating systems for global HSE programs.  You will have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced PSM professionals while coaching personnel in areas of PSM. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain systems for planning, management, governance, and oversight of Honeywells Process Safety program to include Mechanical Integrity.
  • Work with Strategic Business Groups (SBGs) to deploy mechanical integrity requirements and best practices within Honeywells PSM program framework and for other critical equipment.  
  • Improve and implement key performance metrics for the oversight and reporting on Mechanical Integrity.  
  • Drive improvement in maintaining schedules and HSE project funding across the Honeywell businesses.
  • Provide auditing expertise for Governance of Honeywells Process Safety Mechanical Integrity program and other key PSM processes. 
  • Provide mechanical technical resources and support to SBG Engineering, maintenance, and PSM organizations. 
    Identify problems and implementation of solutions - solving abilities, including systematic approach to identification of problems

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree within engineering (chemical or mechanical) or technical focus OR 5 years relevant experience in either PSM, or mechanical integrity or HSE
  • Courageous behavioral acumen toward code compliance
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

WE VALUE

  • Experience in PSM and Mechanical Integrity or process safety program management 
  • Strong leadership acumen 
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a mechanical integrity program for manufacturing facility 
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practice (RAGAGEP) such as API, ASME, ISA84, IEC and ISO, for a broad range of equipment including fabricated equipment, and safety instrumented systems
  • Has trained employees on a mechanical integrity program or has been involved in the creation of such a program.
  • Project management skills for improvement of PSM programs in a complex organization   
  • Knowledge of process safety information, equipment design in accordance with RAGAGEP, Mechanical Integrity, and Management of Change, and other PSM programs
  • Use risk assessment methods and tools for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards
  • Use of innovative thinking to create continuous improvement
  • Ability to deliver on complex situations
  • Customer focused, strategic, and creative thinker 
  • CSP, CCPSC or demonstrated progress towards achieving certification
  • Strong understanding in project management and data analysis
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Coaching, developing, personnel in areas of risk and compliance decision-making, management system development/improvement, and project management.
  • Ability to assist with the management and mitigation of identified gaps, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities

Ability to communicate Honeywells HSE, expectations, strategies, and initiatives to broad organization
