Responsibilities:

• Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading electrical/avionics components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Inspect component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components.
• Fabricate and modify electrical systems according to specifications.
• Perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft structure
• Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
• Demonstrate the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years related work, Bachelor, etc.).
• Minimum of interim Department of Defense secret security clearance to start
• Minimum of 3 years with military fighter aircraft maintenance
• Minimum of 3 years with retrofit or modification programs
• Experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components or avionics boxes
• Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with F-15 or similar platform
  • General Mechanic experience desirable
