Position Responsibilities
* This position is responsible for the inspection, repair, modification, and maintenance of aircraft structural components to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, aviation standards, and customer requirements. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience)
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* A minimum of 4 years or more of recent work-related experience OR an equivalent combination or education and work experience
* Experience with Aircraft Maintenance
* Experience with Close Tolerance Drilling
* Modification Experience
* Experience on Military Fighter Platforms: F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15 (preferred)
* Security Clearance within the past 2 years (preferred) Job Duties
*Assembles, disassembles, and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
*Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
*Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
*Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
*Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
*Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
*Inspects components and verifies repairs for flightworthiness requirements.
*Oversees training.
*Works under general direction.
