Job Title: Quality Control LeadJob Description
As a Quality Control Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring all work performed on aircraft complies with technical data, FAA regulations, and company policies and procedures. You will oversee the identification of repair methods, necessary parts, and materials, and ensure proper documentation and execution of repairs. This role involves performing inspections, maintaining aircraft safety, and training employees while enforcing safety regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all work complies with applicable technical data, FAA regulations, and company policies.
- Review non-preplanned documents to identify repair methods, necessary parts, and provide timely estimates.
- Document all aircraft parts/components removed from aircraft in work, ensuring proper identification and execution of parts tags.
- Perform aircraft inspection, flightline operations, and shop work to maintain aircraft safety and airworthiness.
- Inspect purchased parts and materials for quality, tolerances, and specifications compliance.
- Record inspection data and report irregularities to the Chief Inspector.
- Document corrective actions on work cards with proper references.
- Identify and document RIIs on work cards per customer procedures manuals.
- Document Work-In-Progress Conformity Records for each shift.
- Perform receiving inspection for parts or materials routed for checking.
- Test airframe connections and inspect fit of parts using hand tools, flashlight, and mirror.
- Examine assembly, installation, and adjustment of components to ensure workmanship and materials conform to regulations and specifications.
- Determine accuracy of component installations using tools such as protractors and micrometers.
- Sign inspection tags or record reasons for rejecting units.
- Log inspections performed on aircraft.
- Conduct orientation and on-the-job training for employees, ensuring documentation in training records.
- Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and equipment use, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Coordinate worker activities, assign work duties, and resolve work problems.
- Maintain communication within the area of responsibility, promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- A&P License (preferred)
- Experience with commercial aircraft larger than a CRJ 900, Boeing, and Airbus
- Basic set of tools
- Experience with 777 aircraft
- Lead experience
Pay- $30/hour - $45/hour
- Per Diem for eligible candidates
Work Schedule- Monday - Friday // MUST be flexible working 1st or 2nd shifts
