POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Responsible for fulfilling the role of a Quality Support agent; this is a hands-on position. Ensure documents and records associated with Quality Assurance are met and maintained, in accordance with established procedures. Maintain support subsystems such as, but not limited to; Stamp Control, Approved Vendor List (AVL), Approved Supplier List (ASL), and Calibration. Provide support for all functions within Quality Assurance below the level of Quality Engineer. Quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Audit the QMS to ensure continued suitability and conformance to applicable standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  2. Resolve quality issues by helping Quality Engineers with basic Lean Six Sigma tools for effective root cause and corrective action (RCCA). Such as, but not limited to, Process Maps, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
  3. Provide Quality Assurance support to Operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
  4. Resolve quality issues of materials related issues.
  5. Effectively communicate and reinforce our commitment to quality improvement efforts
  6. Support Quality Engineers in the development and submittal of PPAP and other required documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements.
  7. Provide support to Quality Engineers for documentation and data gathering.
  8. Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities for new tool or process design and startup.
  9. Participate in pre-launch production trial run process monitoring.
  10. Participate with other departments to resolve customer complaints or concerns.
  11. Participate and/or lead Continual Improvement projects.
  12. Determine and apply Measurement System Analysis tools.
  13. All tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager, directly or through one of his/her assigns.
