Job Title: Sheet Metal MechanicDescriptionSeeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to perform C-checks on Airbus aircraft. This role involves reading, interpreting, planning, and working from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins. You will assist, guide, train, oversee, and evaluate others while maintaining attentiveness and knowledge of aircraft job budgets and meeting completion timelines.
Responsibilities-
- Complete skin repairs requiring doublers or triplers with complex contours
- Perform complex repairs and replacements that require substantial disassembly, such as wing spar, keel beam, or other support structures
- Document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations
- Remove/install aircraft components as required
- Perform minor structural repairs on composite components
- Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures
- Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft
- Assist with aircraft component repair
- Perform mechanical/electrical removals and installations as required
- May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
- Inspect confined areas of the airframe
Essential Skills- 2+ years of sheet metal experience.
- Experience with riveting.
- Experience in commercial aviation, specifically with Airbus and MRO.
- Ability to read and interpret Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins
- Military experience working on sheet metal airframes is acceptable
- Experience with assembly from an OEM like Boeing or Airbus is also acceptable
