Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Assemble and fit structural components, drilling and riveting as required.
Operate tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, and reamers.
Align and secure parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners.
Maintain logs, records, and labor tracking in the resource planning system.
Ensure defect-free assemblies before final inspection.
Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events).
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety and 5S standards.
Properly care for and maintain shop tools and equipment.
Work with composite resins and materials as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of structural assembly experience (or credit for graduates of the Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program).
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Basic knowledge of aircraft structures, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and a 6" scale.
Basic computer skills and shop math proficiency.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to meet deadlines.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work any shift, and operate in confined spaces.
Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
