We’re hiring a Structural Mech I in Savannah, GA!

Position Purpose:

Join our dynamic team! In a team-oriented work environment and under moderate supervision, you will perform various structural assembly operations in our production department.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assembly and Fitting: Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, and varied drilling and riveting operations, ensuring parts/assemblies meet requirements.

  2. Riveting: Use all necessary tools (e.g., portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills) to rivet structural assemblies and parts.

  3. Blueprint Reading: Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations, type, size, and hole pattern for rivets.

  4. Quality Check: Ensure all work is defect-free before final inspection.

  5. Logs and Records: Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).

  6. Alignment and Assembly: Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.

  7. Housekeeping: Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company’s 5S Program, and comply with all safety regulations.

  8. Supervision: Work under moderate supervision on assigned duties and tasks.

  9. Lean Activities: Support lean manufacturing activities.

  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.

  • Proficient in reading a 6" scale.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to perform basic shop math.

  • Capability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.

  • Essential personal skills including an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, professional attitude, attention to detail, ability to work with people, and meeting demanding schedules.

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials.

  • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.
     



Pay Details: $21.21 per hour
