Summary:
Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, performing drilling, riveting, sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.
Use various tools (e.g., riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers) and remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine assembly sequence.
Inspect all work to ensure defect-free assemblies before final inspection.
Maintain accurate records and logs (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners, shaping complex angles per blueprints.
Perform repairs and necessary rework to meet conformity requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, following 5S and safety regulations.
Properly dispose of hazardous materials.
Accurately log job activities and coordinate with other shifts.
Assist in equipment maintenance and support lean initiatives.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
2 years of structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Basic computer and shop math skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
Experience with composite resins and materials.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Must be able to work any shift and understand English.
