Summary:
Perform assembly and fitting of parts, drilling, and riveting; ensure assemblies meet requirements.
Transition to new tasks with minimal impact on goals and schedule.
Use various tools for riveting and structural work.
Remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Read work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets.
Ensure assemblies are defect-free before final inspection.
Assist in interpreting blueprints and resolving production issues.
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners.
Make repairs and perform rework to ensure conformity.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support 5S & Lean initiatives, and comply with safety regulations.
Work independently and support lean activities.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED.
3 years of structural assembly experience.
Preferred experience with Solumina and Smarteam; Q-stamp preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read a scale, perform basic shop math, and comprehend documents.
Hands-on aptitude, professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to meet schedules.
Good housekeeping and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Skilled in close tolerance work and special tools.
Proficient with mathematical formulas for dimensional problems.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Availability to work any shift.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, stands, stairs, and work in confined spaces.
