As an Aviation Maintenance Technician at PDS Tech Commercial in Jacksonville, FL, you’ll be directly contributing to military readiness and global security. In this role, you’ll work on high-impact repairs and modifications that ensure military aircraft are mission-ready, all while supporting the critical needs of our armed forces. Every task you perform strengthens security and empowers those who serve.
What You’ll Be Doing:Aircraft Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled maintenance, defect rectification, modifications, and functional testing on military aircraft structures, components, and systems.
Advanced Electrical Work: Execute tasks like reading wire schematics, continuity checks, AC/DC power checks, and proper wire installation to ensure adherence to technical drawings.
Structural Repairs: Work on military aircraft structural repair and modification, including installation of fiber optics, coaxial cables, and shielded twisted pair splicing.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and ensure regulatory compliance in all work activities.
Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a team of skilled professionals, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring high-quality, first-time performance on every task.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the workspace, report issues, and help enhance overall team efficiency.
Qualifications – What You Bring to the Table:Required Skills & Experience:
6+ years of Aircraft Mechanic Experience: Experience in either commercial, defense, or a relevant trade apprenticeship.
Proficiency in Electrical Systems: Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics, with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with electrical and measuring tools like crimpers, multimeters, megohmmeters, and bond meters.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer systems for job-related tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Certification: Airframe and/or Power Plant certification is highly desirable.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of general aircraft maintenance processes, including safety and environmental controls (FOD, tool control, health & safety).
