Structures Mechanic - HelicoptersJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Structures Mechanic responsible for heavy maintenance and build-up/refurbishment of heavy-lift commercial operations helicopters (S64). The role involves utilizing blueprints to perform repairs by riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, and installing structural components. Mechanics will be assigned tasks based on their abilities: those with more fabrication ability will fabricate, and installers will install.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance and build-up/refurbishment of S64 helicopters.
- Utilize blueprints to perform repairs by riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal.
- Install structural components.
- Fabricate or install parts based on assigned tasks and abilities.
Essential Skills- Experience with structures, sheet metal, and aircraft maintenance.
- Ability to perform structural repairs on helicopters.
- Proficiency in using blueprints for sheet metal repair.
- Skilled in riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal.
- 5+ years of experience preferred, but open to lower experience levels.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Must be comfortable performing a Structures test on or before the first day, involving a few dozen rivets and a couple of bends.
- Must have basic hand tools.
- A&P certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to drill, cut, bend, and countersink aircraft sheet metal.

Work Environment
Work in aircraft hangar and shop areas in Medford, OR, and Central Point, OR, which are 10 minutes apart. The facilities include a very advanced electronic tool crib with access to all types of tools. Day shift hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4 PM and Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
