Job Title: Structures Mechanic - Components Shop- Per Diem Pay (non-local): $50/hour ($28/hour base + $176/day per diem up to 5 days, $55/hour overtime)
- Non Per Diem (local): $44/hour
Job Description- We are seeking a qualified Structures Mechanic for the repair and overhaul of aircraft assemblies. This role includes working on cowlings, inlets, leading edges, ailerons, and other components. The position is based in a specialized component MRO building in Everett, WA, with primary duties involving the removal and replacement of skin panels using solid rivets and hilocks, as well as reworking dents.
Responsibilities- Perform repair and overhaul work on aircraft assemblies, including cowlings, inlets, leading edges, and ailerons.
- Work on doors and horizontal stab skin panels, removing and replacing skin panels with solid rivets and hilocks.
- Rework dents, sometimes working in a sanding room with a respirator.
- Use tools such as drills, bucking bars, rivet guns, socket wrenches, and hi-lok pliers to overhaul cowlings.
- Ensure high precision in drilling out fasteners to prevent overlarge holes.
- Maintain the schedule and urgency of overhauled units production.
- Participate in orientation and safety training during the first week.
Essential Skills- 4+ years of precision aircraft structures drilling and blind riveting in an MRO environment.
- Experience in installation, repair, and use of tools related to airframe and sheet metal.
- Ability to remove rivets, drill, ream, countersink, and rivet from drawings without close instruction.
- Possession of an Airframe License (required for one of the two positions).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in precision aircraft structures drilling and blind riveting.
- Must have minimum hand tools such as wrenches, hi-lok pliers, socket set, and bucking bars.
- Willingness to wear a half-mask respirator and comply with clean-shaven policies for fit testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience doing skin splice repairs.
- Experience using skin wedges to separate and/or relocate skin panels.

Work Environment- The job is located in a component repair shop within a large MRO facility.
- Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, with shifts from 0530 to 1530 or 1530 to 0430, and a 2nd shift from 1300 to 2130.
- Weekend shifts may be implemented, working 0530 to 1600 from Friday to Monday.
- Expect to work 40-50 hours per week, with overtime available.
- The first week will consist of customer-specific training on the day shift, between 24 and 40 hours.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.00 - $50.00/hr.
