Job Title: Structures Mechanic
Job DescriptionAs a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for building and installing structural assemblies and modifications for Electro-Optical/Infrared imaging systems on General Aviation aircraft. This role involves fabricating racks, brackets, and other components using blueprints and kits, and installing them using various types of rivets and fasteners. You will work closely with Avionics specialists to ensure proper fit and specifications, and perform repairs as necessary. Your work will be split between a shop setting, where you will build racks, enclosures, and other modification components, and an aircraft hangar, where you will install the assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Build and install structural assemblies and modifications for Electro-Optical/Infrared imaging systems on General Aviation aircraft.
- Fabricate racks, brackets, and other pieces using blueprints and kits.
- Install components using all types of rivets and fasteners.
- Collaborate with Avionics specialists to ensure proper fit and specifications.
- Perform repairs as necessary.
- Work in a shop setting to build racks, enclosures, and other modification components.
- Install assemblies on aircraft at a nearby aircraft hangar.

Additional Skills & Qualifications- 4+ years of structural maintenance and basic structures fabrication experience
- Experience supporting the installation of ISR or other imaging-related modifications preferred
- Ownership of basic sheet metal tools (bucking bars, rivet gun, drill, etc.) is preferred and can be discussed during the interview

Work Environment
You will work in an office and structures shop located at the headquarters building in Wilsonville and will occasionally drive to the hangar at the Aurora Airport nearby. The position operates on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with training hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Once training is complete, the schedule can be adjusted, with the possibility of starting as early as 5:00 AM. The job follows a 9-80 schedule, allowing you to have every third Friday off.
