Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Tech Cell Mechanic to deliver the aircraft maintenance services to support operational requirements of HMCC - Tech Cell and support Production Planning in the preparation of work packages by sequencing the task cards and evaluating the required man hours in accordance with supplied aircraft maintenance data.

Operational

• Contribute to aircraft maintenance activities for the review of existing Deferred Defects (DDs) and Troubleshooting Recommendations (TSRs) under the supervision of Tech Cell Engineer.
• Collect data on Aircraft Systems defects, Check Critical tasks and Engineering Modifications and provide support to Tech Cell Engineer for the evaluation.
• Facilitate in the accomplishment of additional work scope requested from Production Planning for sequencing the task cards, evaluating the required Man hours and ground time to prepare the C-Check work package.
• Provide technical support to the Production Planning (Airbus and Boeing Team) for the preparation of C- Check work packages at the aircraft pre-input level
• Assist the Tech Cell Engineer for the review of First Time and Complex System tasks during the evaluation and preparation of work packages by ensuring availability of required resources and logistics.
• Gather latest and accurate Technical data required for the review of recurring aircraft defects for the upcoming aircrafts
• Communicate with other sections for the availability of required technical documentation to accomplish the tasks included in the work scope.
• Perform the assigned duties related to Tech Cell tasks and any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Tech Cell management.

Qualifications and Experience:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience

Preferred

• Any additional courses related to Aircraft Maintenance Planning, LEAN Fundamentals, and Safety Management System. Holding an ICAO type Il License will be added value Job Specific Skills
• Ability to communicate technical information to the sections inside technical department.
• Good knowledge of IT system(s) being used in Planning

Essential

• Proof of involvement in any process improvement exercise within Production.
• General Knowledge of Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Environment constraints
• Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance data
• Knowledge of Part M and Part-145 Regulations and functions.
• Project management and execution
• Strong analytical skills to handle complex operational situations
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Efficient in time management and above average ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication skill (speak/read/write) in English
• Good background in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Good technical report writing skills
• Excellent decision-making skills - Ability to take correct decisions keeping in view all the constraints within relatively short period of time
