JOB SUMMARY: Perform set-up and welding operations on aircraft parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of training or experience in welding.
• Able to set-up and operate all standard welding equipment.
• Certification in welding proficiency.
• Must have required hand tools.
• Must have experience and knowledge of TIG welding.
• Must be able weld light gage aluminum and stainless steel.
• Must have the physical and muscular dexterity to operate all welding equipment required in daily operation.
• Able to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to work well with other team members.
• Pass vision testing, minimum 20/30 corrected with no limitations in color perception (Ishihara color testing).
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATION
• Experience in aircraft welding is desired but not required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
• Work from blueprints, CATIA models, company standards, work instructions and performs necessary calculations using shop math to fabricate complete major aircraft assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Perform all work in accordance with established work schedules, FAA and Company Standards.
• Perform on site aircraft welding installation or repairs in accordance with FES drawing notes.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Aid with the development and welding of shop aid tools and fixtures
