Team

Transactions (processing c£1bn of transactions a year) are critical to easyJet’s success and the function has grown in terms of volume and complexity as the business has expanded. The Accounts Payable team consists of a team of 7 people, and our ambition is to become one of the top companies in the industry for supplier payments.

Job Purpose 
Reporting into the Finance Manager Transactions and working with other key business leads, managing the Accounts Payable function to ensure accurate and timely payments, leadership and people management of a large team as well as supporting on IT driven projects and embedding new processes into the team and wider business.

Job Accountabilities

Leadership

•    Leading the AP team in providing robust working capital enhancements
•    Lead a team of 6 who will directly report into you
•    Ensuring you have the right level of people capability to deliver for current and future business requirements and build on easyJet Holiday’s succession and talent priorities

Key activities

•    Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the AP team, ensuring that working capital is maximised whilst maintaining a strong control environment
•    Responsible for ensuring that weekly payment runs and daily processes are well managed and controlled
•    Drive optimisation of e-invoicing ensuring third party business partnering is strong 
•    Key escalation points for any issues with suppliers both externally and within the business
•    Accountability of AP cashflow forecasting including reviews with Finance Manager, FP&A and Finance Director
•    Delivery of accurate, complete & timely financial and management reporting, including tracking and insight into key performance metrics
 
What you’ll bring to the team:
 
You will have Experience of leading a diverse transactional team, with a high level of IT literacy is essential especially in the use of Excel .Proven ability to digest and interpret processing complexity , plus a record of having a strong attention to detail in ensuring the accuracy of the financial accounts and supporting ledgers
Being able Support on completing AP balance sheet recs, creating and presenting AP dashboard including key KPIs to the Finance Director
Able to confidently explain easyJet’s P2P processes to both finance and non-finance contacts at various levels of seniority
Capability of using SQL is desirable but not essential, with AAT qualified preferred.

Location and hours or work 

This full-time role will be based in Luton Capability Green, and will be 40 hours per week, with 3 days in the office

This is a full-time role based at the easyJet holidays HQ which is near Luton Airport, and we operate a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office
