Description:Based onsite at Dallas, the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Lead Technician will be responsible for supporting various AM technologies (LPBF, DED, Hybrid AM) with alloys including but not limited to Al, Ti and Steel. The role will be reporting to AM manager and the primary responsibilities of this role will be
1. Understand, uphold and follow all AM safety measures - be a champion of safe operations
2. Schedule, operate and maintain large format AM machines
3. Prepare files for successful AM prints - knowledge of DfAM, support structures and post processing
4. Operate a wide variety of metal 3D printers
5. Ensure that the part quality after build is up to the drawing or required standards
6. Follow work orders, procedures, specifications and other instructions
7. Perform daily, weekly, monthly and other maintenance on the AM machines
8. Provide timely and accurate process and operational feedback to the engineers and broader team
9. Other duties as essential identified by the manager to enhance AM penetration in the company
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in operating AM machines and industrial AM metal manufacturing environment
-High school Diploma or GED
-Proficient in basic machining and inspection methods
-Proficient with CAD and Additive Manufacturing Workflow management tools (CREO, CATIA, Magics, 3DXPert)
-Ability to work in a team of engineers and technicians
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 40-50 lbs) and ability to handle large cranes and machinery
Desired Skills:
-5+ years of metal AM equipment and industrial production operations experience, preferably in large format laser powder bed fusion machines
-Associates degree and/or multiple certifications in AM operations preferred
-Certified welder preferred
-Experienced in metal heat treatment operations
-Proficient with AM Laser Powder Bed Fusion parameter development and optimization
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
