Job Description:
Airbus UpNext is looking for a Testbed manager to explore 5G Non-Terrestrial-Network capabilities based on space platforms .
Our objective is to explore many new technologies and to support the strategic ambitions of Airbus. As such, be prepared for a wild ride, digging into unconventional ways of working, and be ready for many pivots throughout, as we will explore the unknown.
As the Testbed Manager you are defining the lab architecture, design and support the deployment and operation of the demonstrator.
This position is based in Toulouse, and we will collaborate with teams across Europe and an international partnership landscape.
This job comes with a fixed terme contract for 3 years ( CDI-C).
Missions
Passionate and impatient about testing hypotheses and bringing learning into the business based on concrete demonstrations, you are the type of person who thinks about “how things can be done” rather than “if they can be done”.
By being a Testbed Manager, you will:
Work closely with IVV manager
Prepare the ground test bed (located in Toulouse, Palays)
Integrate equipment within ground test bed (servers, test equipment, network devices)
Interface with major components providers involved in the demonstration in order to synchronize deliveries (test bed, operational system)
Define and configure the overall testbed network design (with support from UpNext network experts)
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including partners)
Coordinate tests execution to be performed (use of shared testbed resources) with IVV manager
Participate to tests execution

Passion about technology, science
Experience in validation and deployment within a testbed
Experience in network architecture
Able to motivate, influence, inspire and empower team members to a high level of performance to meet immediate team objectives and deliver towards overall team goals
Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, assess resource needs, develop schedules, monitor and communicate status, and experiment new ways of working.
