Tasks
The Aircraft Configuration Manager is responsible for:
- Review of the maintenance records of structural repairs on the aircraft
- Initiation of possible follow-up measures that may result from the repairs and damage (e.g. creation of repeating inspections)
- Support in various projects such as Extended Service Goals (ESG) programs or aircraft transitions
- Clarifying technical discrepancies together with other engineering departments
- Conducting process training for Lufthansa’s maintenance providers
- Support in the analysis of structural damage
- All relevant guidelines and documentation
* Participate in other duties as assigned
Requirements
The ideal Aircraft Configuration Manager should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or economic course, for example aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or comparable fields of study required
- Several years of professional experience in aircraft engineering, maintenance or airline environment
- Knowledge of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145
- Knowledge of maintenance programs (MSG analysis, MRB process) and aircraft maintenance processes
- Fluency in English language required
- Analytical thinking
- Knowledge & experience with AMOS
- Cost/benefits awareness
