Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Aircraft Maintenance Manager 2 with Low Observables (LO) experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This leadership role is located in Edwards AFB, CA.
The selected candidate will oversee the testing and maintenance of multiple aircraft and aircraft systems. This position will be located 100 on-site at Edwards AFB, CA.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained and serviced in accordance with company policy and associated aircraft tech orders and maintenance schedules
Overseeing all aspects of aircraft LO outer mold line structures, materials, and application as well as all aspects of maintenance on the aircraft on their shift
Daily Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Direct supervision of the staff, managing assignments, and coordinating cost/schedule with program leadership
Generating aircraft to support tests in accordance with requirements
Ensuring high accuracy in the documentation and reporting of surface preparation, coating applications, and testing.
Forecasting, planning, and completing required air vehicle maintenance and modifications
Scheduling shifts, teams and work packages
Managing and track air vehicle configuration
Assigning daily work requirements to the team
Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and quality processes
Ensuring accurate, complete, and current employee training records

The selected Candidate must be willing to work various shifts depending on the business needs, including, but not limited to: 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) 1st shift; 4x10 (Mon-Thurs) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sa, Su) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sa, Su) 1st shift.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience including a minimum of five years of aircraft Low Observables (LO) maintenance experience; OR a Masters degree and 7 years of relevant professional/military experience including a minimum of five years of aircraft Low Observables (LO) maintenance experience
Must have prior Leadership / Management experience
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a developmental/operational test maintenance environment
Experience in a US Air Force Combined Test Force (CTF)
Experience leading an aircraft operation under DCMA Instruction 8210 oversight
Experience in aircraft modifications and maintenance
