Job Description & Requirements:

With minimal oversight, the Director, Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for maintaining a Business Unit which ensures that all personnel perform their duties in compliance with the requirements of the repair station manual and that all maintenance of aircraft are performed in accordance with approved Federal Aviation Administration, manufacturer, and customer procedures and requirements at the Airframe locations. Responsible for leading, directing, and controlling the resources required to successfully accomplish compliance goals.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of FAA compliance regulations and FAR Part 145.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret highly complex documents.
    • Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to employees and public groups.
    • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.
    • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • General knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Proven knowledge in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the work which the repair station is rated.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO.
    Minimum of six (6) years MRO management experience preferred
