We have a rare opportunity available for an Aircraft Operational Software Manager to join our whanau.
Part digital, part engineering and part aircraft operations, this role requires a unique skillset. Reporting to the Head of Operations Support, this role ensures the connectivity of messages and information between ground and aircraft, and leads the Aircraft Operational Software team.
The Aircraft Operational Software team is responsible for:
- the update and control of Airline Modifiable Information (AMI) software
- the delivery and distribution of digital data from our aircraft
- the management of Electronic Flight Bags for our pilots and crew
The team also develop customized AMI software for various aircraft systems to meet Air New Zealands operational requirements.
Our ideal candidate for this role has proven leadership experience, strong IT/digital skills including previous experience with configuring and updating software, knowledge and understanding of aircraft avionics, and operational airline knowledge.
