About the Role
- Complete all airfield electrical day-to-day corrective/preventive maintenance activities and schedules in coordination with Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) shift team to meet operational requirements as per the company policies through the management of delegated and assigned tasks to the team.
- Perform periodic inspections of airfield lighting systems through Mobile Airfield Light Monitoring System (MALMS) Engineer system to meet KPIs and ensure quality standards and safety are met as per the recommended practices.
- Carry out fault finding and rectification works on all airfield lighting systems and equipment with AGL shift team assistance to resolve all AGL issues as and when required.
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly management reports for the asset’s availability based on PM and CM activities by AGL shift team for Management review as per the SOPs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on airfield systems by leading AGL shift teams to ensure continuous serviceability in order to maintain KPI as per company policies.
- Attend to all breakdown complaints and requests from stakeholders with the assistance of AGL shift team within service level standard to ensure minimum disruption to operations thereby maintaining KPI as per company policies.
- Ensure that all assigned preventive maintenance works are carried out timely as per SOP without any disruption to the operations.
- Ensure that AGL maintenance equipment are properly maintained by AGL team as per the recommended practices of manufacturer to ensure high degree of availability of equipment for operations.
- Complete site inspections of Airfield and AGL infrastructure to produce daily walkabout reports in order to meet the operational requirements diagnose/troubleshoot problems and initiates necessary action to optimize life span and operational reliability to ensure that the facilities are properly maintained in accordance with the best engineering practice.
- Monitor the usage and stock of all required spare parts and raise spares request to Line Manager as and when required to avoid any interruption to day-to-day operations as per SOP.
- Maintain complete records of all Maintenance activities conducted for future audit requirements as per company policies.
- Plan and administer the work of direct and contracted staff on all projects, including assigning the works to review and evaluate the works in progress.
- Plan labor and material needs for designated maintenance and repair jobs to ensure adequate materials and equipment are available to carry out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance tasks; provide input to the Line manager on required materials.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all airfield equipment.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
About You
High School Qualification/ Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
Or
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
Essential
- Experience working on the Airfield Lighting system.
Job Specific Skills:

- Well versed with the operations and maintenance of Airfield electrical systems, e.g. CCR, lightings, PAPI.
- Well versed with all airfield safety regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge on airfield lighting works maintenance.
- Awareness of airport operational constraints.
