We are the central Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence team in Airbus for commercial aircraft and we deliver business impact through AI products and services across the entire value chain all the way from selling, designing, procuring, manufacturing to servicing aircraft. Furthermore with our partners in the other divisions we follow the mission to scale and democratise AI in our wider Airbus group.

The Airbus Analytics & AI community of practice (CoP) is a key part of this mission and comprises a vast network of practitioners to enable distributed analytics & AI across the company. It consists of more than 2000 members spread across countries all over the globe. As a working student with our team you will support the multi functional team (MFT) that manages this wide community. The team’s main activities include setting and driving the community mission, creating physical and virtual spaces for connections, collaboration and learning. Further establish and nurture a network of facilitators and help them grow their communities and keep them engaged.

As a working student in our team you will learn and grow among an international and diverse group of top talent data scientists, software engineers, product managers and many more based across Europe and India. During your time with us we will provide you with coaching, enable you to get upskilled and provide you with the experience you need to take the next step of your career.

Definition working student

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company&39;s premises. A working student&39;s main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Finkenwerder

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Support the group wide Analytics & AI community management in building an engaged and global community of practitioners

• Further establish tools needed for community management and knowledge sharing (eg. backlogs,  knowledge article base, community intranet pages etc.)

• Setting up community engagement metrics to monitor community health and communicate them to relevant stakeholders in the company

• Work in close connection with sub-communities and help them to set up and maintain their community platform

• Creating and maintaining a knowledge base on best practices as well as AI initiatives and projects around the company

• Manage and create engaging content for our internal platforms, monitor and report on our website

 Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of marketing, engineering, communications, data analytics or an equivalent field of study.
• First practical experience in the field of communications is desirable.
• Familiarity with one or more programming and/or scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, HTML and CSS is a plus

• Familiarity with content creation, SEO management is a plus 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Enthusiasm to solve complex challenges, eagerness to learn and an open mindset go a long way

• This position may include occasional travel within Europe.

• Fluent in written and spoken English, French or German is a plus
