JOB OVERVIEW

The Parts & Materials Supervisor, internally called Hangar Support Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that appropriate tooling, materials and equipment support is available for all projects, while also delivering the highest level of Customer Service to both external and internal customers. The Hangar Support Supervisor  directs and supports the Hangar Support staff to ensure the hangar is equipped, organized and ready to receive/execute aircraft visits.  

Coordination

• Responsible for providing the Hangar Operations team with tooling, materials, equipment and administrative support
• Plan, manage, and control materials, tools, and customer supplied material
• Ensure documentation and reports are generated, completed, and distributed within appropriate timelines
• Liaise with customer representative regarding status of parts on order
• Identify investigate and apply corrective actions to problematic issues with production processes and business systems
• Liaise with customer representatives regarding status unserviceable material
• Work with supply chain to help create and update KF policies, procedures and manuals

Leadership                                                        

• Create and promote a healthy, friendly and positive teamwork environment for all staff
• Ensure fair and equitable practices with regards to hiring, promoting and disciplinary decisions
• Ensure employee performance expectations are communicated and reviews carried out
• Direct and support the hangar support staff to ensure the hangar is equipped, organized and ready to receive/execute aircraft project visits
• Ensure the highest level of customer service to both external and internal customers
• Create and maintains staff schedules & tasks
• Participate in selection process for new hangar support staff
• Provide and delegate on-the-job training
• Direct supervision of hangar support staff  

Compliance

• Ensure inventory checks are completed both pre-project and post-project
• Ensure parts are issued accurately against the work orders
• Ensure compliance with established KF Aerospace policies, procedures, and processes
• Ensure departure checklist is completed
• Ensure proper management of technical documentation and maintenance controls
• Ensure proper housekeeping
• Review and approve timesheets
• Ensure all mandatory training requirements are being met
• Ensure staff and customers operate within contract limits
• Ensure adherence to security requirements in support of Inventory Controls

REQUIREMENTS 

• Proven leadership skills
• Previous experience in Supply Chain and Parts processing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to take charge and make decisions
• Leads by example in providing the highest level of Customer Service
• Strong Knowledge of applicable aircraft technical documentation
• Ability to solve complex problems with respect to parts, tools & equipment
• Ability to solve complex problems in M3 and other ERP Systems
