What you can expect as the Central Regional Sales Manager at West Star:

We are currently looking for a remotely located Regional Sales Manager for the Central Region to develop and maintain business relationships with customers and industry vendors to generate sales leads and create customized service offerings to meet customer needs. This position is responsible for the generation of new sales and maintaining current customer’s revenues of corporate and MRO operations. The Regional Sales Manager will work with the Regional Sales Director and the VP of sales, in planning business development and executing sales with business aircraft off wing support and modifications services. A high level of communication, organization, flexibility, professionalism, and customer service is crucial for this position. This position will travel the territory regularly and maintain a home office during non-travel periods. This position has a non-standard work schedule due to the travel required along with customer interactions and attending industry events. The expectation is to perform as necessary to ensure DAS is represented appropriately and professionally within the territory while achieving the annual sales objective.

 

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:

  • Collaborate with Leadership and Programs Managers to prioritize sales opportunities.
  • Travel regularly throughout the territory and visit with customers regarding short and long-term sales opportunities. Enhance and maintain relationships with key customers inside your territory.
  • Utilize aviation databases to manage, identify and update the status of all sales opportunities to continuously evaluate progress within the client group against pipeline, revenue, and profit targets.
  • Analyze the industry market, competition, service/product offerings and trends to develop strategies ensuring DAS alignment with those findings.
  • Identify and analyze local market requirements by soliciting client feedback and by maintaining strong industry contacts/network.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend sales strategies such as multi-aircraft/multi component work packages.
  • Provide consultative advice to customers regarding their upcoming maintenance events to assure that DAS is positioned to win any off-wing support needed.
  • Prepare sales presentations and participate in pipeline reviews with Leadership and VP of Sales, to identify gaps and help set sales strategy.
  • Communicate with Leadership, Program Managers and Administrators to answer questions, provide additional input on RFQ’s, and customer needs after the sale.
  • Attend industry trade shows and vendor events as necessary to maintain existing and develop new relationships.

What you’ll need to bring with you:

 

Your Education:

A High school diploma or equivalent.

A&P License and/or a degree in Aviation Technology or an equivalent field of study (preferred).

Brings 5+ years of experience with technical knowledge and a customer following in an aerospace environment.

Strong technical knowledge as demonstrated by at least 5 years’ experience as an aviation maintenance technician, technical representative, or outside sales manager.

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and other necessary software.

Must be able to travel regularly and maintain a clean driving record.

Live within the territory (ND,MN,SD,NE,IA,KS,MO,OK,AR,LA,TX)

Must demonstrate strong communication, planning and customer service skills.
