JOB DESIGNATION
- The Contracts Manager oversees the contract management activities and processes ensuring all activities are executed in strict compliance with corporate policies. Reports to the company Director of (Commercial) Contracts.
- JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and redlines complex contracts, agreements, and other contractual instruments to identify and mitigate contractual and legal risks, including terms and conditions, statements of works, obligations, and liabilities in compliance with corporate policies.
- Negotiates contracts, agreements, modifications, licenses, non-disclosure agreements, and other contractual instruments.
- Supports the preparation and review of major proposals in response to customer RFPs, RFTs, and solicitations.
- Drafts, prepares, reviews, and/or approves contractual agreements and related documents.
- Provides expert contract interpretations regarding contract obligations, requirements, and liabilities and effectively communicates same in a concise manner to other internal stakeholders.
- Acts as the company’s primary internal and external contract liaison before, during, and after contract life-cycle.
- Ensures efficient contract performance throughout the contract, program, and product life cycles, including contract changes, amendments, and modifications.
- Effectively manages contracts to ensure strict compliance with all contract requirements and obligations, Company policies, and applicable government regulations and laws.
- Plans, directs, controls, and manages the activities involved with the contract management and administration activities.
- Works closely with Customer Account Managers, providing guidance and direction when required.
- Continually looks for opportunities to improve contracting processes.
- Manages and coordinates contract management activities in a manner that ensures good customer relations while protecting the interests of the company.
- Analyzes the impact of contract changes and modifications and ensures good contract change management practices are followed.
- Maintains an awareness of current statutory requirements influencing contract development and administration.
- Prepares and submits regular reports to company and division management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education: REQUIRED - Bachelor’s degree in contracts management, business, or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in contract management.
Skills:
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry with government and commercial customers is strongly preferred.
- Candidate must have strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Candidate should be self-motivated and able to work within a multi-site team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet important deadlines.
- Ability to give accurate and timely direction and guidance to supporting organizations and personnel.
- PC skills essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as spanet and business considerations. Pay Range: $130K to $150K plus 12.5 ACIP Bonus.
