The Contractual Change manager will support the Program manager and other functions to:

  • monitor compliant conduct and correct application of contractual terms,
  • identify and prepare change notes and potential claims,
  • minimize avoidable contractual liabilities,
  • contribute maximizing Program profitability.

To be successful in this role you need passion for developing close working relationships with the project team and relevant stakeholders whilst understanding and managing larger contracts; you take satisfaction of employing and sharing best practice within the teams and the organisation.

Tasks & accountabilities:

  • Support the Program manager on live-contract execution, focusing on claim management and amendment negotiations
  • Monitor the correct application of selected contract T&Cs, identify and anticipate any contract content risks as well as any change/claim relevant deviations from the contractual scope throughout the project performance (e.g. financials, timelines, scope, liabilities). Attend periodical project meetings and provide advice when needed.
  • Gather documentation to support change management for potential claims all along the project (traceability of facts, evidence for substantiation, etc.)
  • Identify and assess claims (factually and contractually) originating from customers, suppliers, partners, working in close collaboration with Program and Commercial & Contract (C&C) Management.
  • Support the Program manager in the negotiation of the contractual changes and anticipate the corresponding R&Os for the project
  • Conduct contract management internal procedures and mitigation of potential compliance risks
  • Coordination with C&C to secure team alignment

The deployment of the organizations goals requires some business travels and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Your profile:

  • Business Project background, legal background is a plus
  • At least 5 years&39; experience in Program Management, Risk management ideally in the defense industry/public procurement sector
  • Proven team player skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and contractual skills
  • Understanding of the principles of project management, Claim management and financial basic requirements
  • Capable of delivering a high-quality complex workload with minimum supervision
  • English and German fluent
