Crew Performance Manager – LGW
Job Description:

We like to think of ourselves as being a different place to work compared to other airlines. We’re fun, community driven, less formal, and from top to bottom we really look after each other. We also think it’s because of our ‘Orange Spirit’. That means working in teams that are positive, inclusive, united by purpose, ready to meet problems head-on, and that have your back. Whether you’re an industry veteran or just starting out, if you thrive in a team environment then we think we have one of the best around.

We are recruiting for a Crew Performance Manager (CPM) to work within the fast-paced operational environment of Cabin Services, supporting Cabin Crew with people management and operational activities at a local level. The CPM plays a crucial role in supporting the Base Manager to achieve Operational Excellence by leading and inspiring the team, ensuring smooth cabin operations, and promoting a culture of teamwork. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe and consistent onboard experience while managing performance standards in accordance with company and regulatory policies.

In both an office and flying capacity, the CPM monitors company standards, provides feedback, and ensures the highest level of safety and service. You will also play a vital role in reporting and investigating safety incidents, conducting performance checks, and making policy recommendations to enhance operations. You’ll support base and individual performance improvement by working closely with the Cabin Crew, providing developmental feedback, and maintaining flying qualifications.

What you need to do this role

You will have a proven track record of leading large teams, with specific experience in managing performance and supporting the development of Cabin Crew. Previous flying experience up to Cabin Manager level is essential, as well as demonstrated ability in driving team performance. You should possess strong written and communication skills, with the capacity to work cross-functionally and confidently manage both face-to-face and remote teams.

A willingness to travel across the network to support the Cabin Services team is required, along with in-depth knowledge of company and aviation safety practices. Experience in a unionised environment, including working with Union representatives, is crucial. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, and Bookings, is also essential for this role.

What you’ll get in return

> Competitive base salary

> Up to 20 bonus

> 25 days holiday

> BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes

> 5 pension

> Life Assurance

> Flexible benefits package

> 30 days’ work away scheme

> Excellent staff travel benefits

Location & Hours of Work

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position at London Gatwick Airport. Some network travel may be required for this position.
