About The Role:
The Cyber Delivery Assurance Lead role presents an exciting opportunity to carve out your career path while assuming complete responsibility for British Airways cybersecurity in technology delivery across various products and programs. Leveraging your significant expertise, youll assist product teams in comprehending and integrating Cyber Security policies, standards, patterns, guidelines, and procedures within an established framework, ensuring alignment with all deliverables.
As a Cyber Delivery Assurance Lead, youll be aligned with a specific tech delivery area and its corresponding business sector. Youll forge robust relationships with business stakeholders to comprehend their unique risk context and implement cyber controls effectively.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Ensuring product delivery and maintenance aligns with British Airways risk appetite, with effective cyber controls.
- Embedding security by design with appropriately scaled cyber controls tailored to business context and risk levels.
- Negotiating and influencing stakeholders across multinational organisations, including third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Taking charge of implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborating with broader BA Cyber Team functions (including Cyber Architecture, Cyber Defence, and Threat & Risk) to ensure consistency and adherence to cyber practices.
- Offering authoritative advice and guidance on the application and operation of various cyber security controls, including compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Advising on cyber risk management, mitigation strategies, and promoting cyber awareness programs.
- Supporting delivery areas transitioning towards DevSecOps and secure agile product delivery.
About You:
- Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
- Highly analytical and methodical, with a keen eye for detail and a structured approach to assurance activity.
- An excellent communicator, adept at translating complex technical issues into understandable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and make risk-based decisions confidently.
- Technical proficiency in cyber security controls demonstrated by relevant qualifications such as CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Implement, SANS GIAC, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIS, and NCSC cyber guidance is essential.
- Experience working in an agile delivery environment is highly advantageous.
- Specific expertise in at least one area of cyber security, such as Cloud security, network security, digital security (multi-platform), infrastructure security, security by design, security architecture, or DevSecOps.
