Job Description:

Aircraft Inspection & Management, LLC (AIM) is hiring for a talented Director of Maintenance DOM to be part of our team.  This individual will work with the Management Team and be responsible for directing, planning, and overseeing shop and field operations inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station.  The perfect candidate is client and customer service orientated, is a team player and is an individual that has experience with a 145-repair station, engine and aircraft storage and teardown.

Directing Shop and Field Time Management by:

  • Obtaining allowable hours from Sales/Marketing/Customer Service 
  • Setting initial and ongoing realistic customer expectations for work 
  • Scheduling labor
  • Scheduling maintenance tasks in order of importance for each unique Customer Work Order
  • Obtaining approval for overtime labor
  • Ensuring labor worked does not exceed allowable hours (monitoring/approving timesheets) –

Directing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure it is performed:

  • By rostered personnel (supervisor/lead/tech)
  • According to a signed WOA
  • IAW with RSM/QCM manual policies and procedures
  • In observance with the safety precautions relevant to their functions

Oversees smooth operation of the Repair Station by ensuring:

  • Access to current Engine Shop Manuals
  • Technical data is obtained from customers before the start of maintenance
  • Repair Station is clean and orderly
  • Adequate parts, materials, and tools/equipment
  • Proper handling of all parts while in the repair process and when maintenance is complete
  • Performing annual personnel performance evaluations
  • Overseeing the scrap part program
  • Performing other duties as required or as directed 
Job Requirements:
  • A&P license
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an MRO 145 repair shop as a DOM
  • Shop management experience
  • Effective motivator & Leader 
  • Great problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strategic Thinker
  • Positive Team Developer 
Travel: 10-20%
