Key Responsibilities:

The Director, Operations Communications is responsible for leading a team that creates thoughtful, engaging, clear communications for our frontline employees. This leader will partner with senior leaders to build and drive communications strategies that support employees to do their jobs efficiently and deliver great service. They will also develop and drive a channel strategy that delivers the right information through the right channels at the right time to employees in the field.

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for the creation and implementation of operational communications
  • Provide communications counsel/support for top leaders and key subject matter experts
  • Help operational leaders advance communications capabilities and equip them to lead through change
  • Design a comprehensive channel strategy that enables content to reach the frontline in ways that work best for their environment
  • Plan and execute end-to-end campaigns that support business priorities and drive behavior change including strategic messaging, leadership support, effective channel management and creative execution
  • Monitor effectiveness of operational communications materials and channels
  • Use data to make insightful decisions about communications
  • Develop deep knowledge of frontline audiences and their communications preferences to represent their needs at the corporate support center

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree
  • Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • 12+ years of corporate/marketing/operations communications experience
  • Demonstrated track record of managing successful, proactive and creative communications campaigns that use a variety of tools, forums and media
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Employee / marketing / corporate communications best practices
  • Superior business writing and editing skills
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision/goal
  • Proven ability to create integrate communications plans
  • Able to work effectively & efficiently in cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable in executive-level reviews
  • Experience leading and building highly effective, reliable teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to create meaningful relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Has the ability to identify topics that may impact our company brand and work collaboratively with the media or labor relations team to develop proactive and reactive plans
  • Ability to travel domestically 10 of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Masters degree
  • Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business or Organizational Psychology
  • 5+ years in project management
  • 2+ years leading people
  • Marketing/communications trends - technology, approach, psychology
  • Communications influence on behavior change + effective communication strategy to drive change
  • SiteCore and/or similar CMS
  • Acrobat Creative Suite
  • Quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Data collection & analysis experience
