EGNOS V3 System Qualification Manager (m/f)

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a System Qualification Manager (f/m) to join our &34;Ground Systems&34; Department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of the team designing, integrating, verifying and qualifying complex Ground Systems. As part of the team, you will involved in the EGNOS V3 Ground System development.

EGNOS is the European Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS). Its mission consists in complementing the GPS and GALILEO satellites navigation systems. EGNOS provides through different diffusion means information dedicated to augment user navigation solution performance with respect to the solution achieved when using GPS or GALILEO system alone.

You will be in charge, at EGNOS V3 System level, of the Qualification Engineering activities, whose purpose is to define and agree how the EGNOS V3 System requirements will be qualified and to collect and to consolidate all the qualification credits (encompassing Functional Qualification, Performances Qualification, Safety Qualification, Security Qualification, etc.).

The job owner will direcly interface with the Customer (ESA/EUSPA) for topics dealing with the System Qualification, as well with the suppliers in charge of SubSystem development, in particular for the qualification strategy aspects and qualification credits definition (some of them to be re-used for System Qualification).

 
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Your challenges:

• Implement/deploy the System Verification/Qualification Strategy and related Subsystem Verification/Qualification Strategy.
• Coordinate/consolidate the Qualification Engineering activities at System level
• Produce and maintain up to date the System Qualification deliverables (Qualification plans, RVM, VCD...) in accordance with the ESA SoW requirements and project milestones
• Define the Qualification credits and the associated PASSED/FAILED criteria with the support of System Architects (including Safety, Security, Performance and Operations)
• Control and monitor the good progress of Qualification credits collection during the Verification/Qualification campaigns , at subsystem and System Level.
• Control and analyze the impacts of System and Subsystems RFDs/RFWs
• Participate to the Non-conformance Boards (NCB) / Releases control Boards (RCB)
• Participate to the SubSystems Verification Control Boards (VCB)
• Prepare and lead the System Verification Control Boards (VCB) with the customer (ESA) for the System Qualification
• Continuously enhance the Tools and Qualification Process

This role will involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Your profile:

• Educated to an Engineering degree or equivalent
• Experienced in System design, System Engineering or System IVQ
• Excellent knowledge of Verification/Qualification International standards (ECSS, ...)
• Experience of large projects in industry, in an international context
• Experience of large ESA (European Space Agency) projects would be appreciated
• GNSS knowledge would be appreciated
• Autonomy, rigor, reactivity and adaptability
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to connect people
• English: Advanced level, speaking and writing
