Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Training Means Project Manager (f/m) to join our simulation department based in Marignane, France.

You will be part of a team developing modular simulation systems and simulators for all helicopter programs. With these systems, we deliver simulation capabilities for various internal and external customers.

Within this organisation, the mission of the &34;Training Means&34; team is to provide key contributions to the development of Flight Simulators and other training means to assure quality and safety in Pilot Training.
The characteristics of the Flight Simulator business must be considered, as well synergies with other simulation activities inside Airbus Helicopters.

Typically the engineering products for training simulation are:

• Simulation software systems that represent simulated avionics, flight and other vehicle systems
• Flat panel, Virtual reality or desktop-PC based simulation products, such as Cockpit procedure trainers.

The mission of this position is to lead and be accountable for the Airbus Helicopters developments of training simulation means for one or several helicopter types, e.g. H160, H175, NH90, etc.

Your challenges:

• Lead and execute training simulation projects, e.g. the simulation Software for a given Full Flight Simulator project

• Lead and enable the development teams that are contributing from the different engineering organisations

• Assure planning, budget control, in-time and in quality deliveries

• Assure the engineering cooperation with the international partner companies in the development of Flight Simulators by securing efficient workshare and contracts

• Establish efficient engineering offers for new projects

Your profile:

• Engineering degree in aerospace engineering or similar

• Experience in system & software engineering

• Willingness and/or experience in management for development projects

• Ability to work, communicate and lead in an international environment

• Ability to maintain a network to very different stakeholders in this company and partner companies

• Knowledge of avionics systems would be a big advantage

• English: negotiation level

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
