Job Description:

Summary: This leadership role is responsible for oversight of the Electronics Lab activities and team, and all other aspects related to this area. The Electronics Lab team leader will also coordinate with other functional teams within Engineering and other departments to ensure proper functioning and timely closure of all the lab tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•tProvides leadership and motivation in managing the laboratory team (up to 10 individuals) and its activities to ensure best performance from all
•tActively participates in the continuous product testing to maintain SAFRANs on the Qualified Product List, including supporting technical discussions with the authorities (DLA, NAVAIR, etc.)
•tAuthors, maintains and manages the laboratory test procedures within the PLM
•tEnsures ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the equipment and testing capabilities, address any issue and develop a recovery plan as necessary
•tDevelops and maintain communication and scheduling tools providing facility wide visibility on the laboratory status
•tTracks all opened actions including but not limited to qualification testing, group testing, development testing, troubleshooting and investigation, maintenance and repairs, on all equipment
•tDevelops an improvement plan for additional capabilities, capacity or replacement of obsolete parts and equipment
•tEnsures business continuity via resource planning, critical equipment redundancies, safety stock, preventative maintenance or any other means as necessary
•tDevelops and maintains the team skills, autonomy and ownership. Ensures critical skills continuity, identifies back up plans and develop hiring plans as required. Actively participate in the hiring and onboarding process.
•tEvaluates performance of individuals for their quality of work and effectiveness in accomplishing assignments. Implements corrective actions when necessary
•tAdheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental programs and culture
•tPerform additional duty as assigned per management
•tTravel requirements: Occasional travel
•tEvening/night, extra hours may be required during business peaks
Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience
•\tA Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
•\tA minimum of 5 years engineering experience
•\tA minimum of 1 year of management experience

Knowledge/Skills
•\tKnowledge of MIL SPECS (6106, 83383, etc.)
•\tAdvanced knowledge in Electrics (schematics, Ohm's law, Power Factor, Different types of load, etc.)
•\tDemonstrated ability in leadership, motivation
•\tSolid technical judgement
•\tDemonstrated problem solving skills.
•\tStrong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with individuals/teams at all levels within the organization and with customers
•\tKnowledge of electrical engineering disciplines
•\tStrong organizational and reporting skills
•\tAbility to provide clear direction and delegation
Preferred Skills :
•\tFamiliarity with aerospace regulations
•\tGD&T knowledge
•\tLabview
•\tPLM System
•\tElectronics
