Environmental Controls Product Line Operations Lead

Overview:
The Environmental Controls Product Operations Lead serves as the key liaison for all Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality aspects for New Product Integration (NPI), Cold Start Initiatives (CSI), Retrofits and proposal evaluation throughout the product life. This role encompasses overseeing production planning, supply chain management, production processes, quality assurance, and logistics to meet program milestones. The Lead is instrumental in successfully transitioning products to the factory, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products, supporting rate-readiness activities, and achieving cost targets for assembled products, catering to both military and regional customers.
Essential Skills:
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Superior communication skills.
- Collaboration with US, UK, Germany and Poland,
- Knowledge of existing Collins execution system (SAP, Tableau).
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 (Office) Edge, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word.
- Ability to develop solutions to problems of medium scope and complexity.
- Excellent team skills.
- Knowledge of CMS and RLPM Life Cycle/Milestones
- Familiar with APQP
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for operations that sits on the program IPT.
- Owner of the manufacturing build plan ensuring manufacturing/test readiness, producibility, MRL, and pre-production on all development programs,
- Assess sub-tier capability to support production rate and develop action plans where required.
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites, suppliers, and engineering to develop plan to achieve design to cost targets.
- Drive rapid closure to issues as they arise, including quality, sub-tier and operational excellence issues.
- Supports capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks, derive solutions, and develop budgets to drive optimal production rates.
Additional Notes/Requirements
- Candidate must be a high performing forward thinker and self-motivator
- Candidate must be able to adapt to the program’s needs. They will be straddling multiple projects/efforts to help a successful retrofit program.
- Typically requires a Technical University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Fluent English skill (both verbal and non-verbal)
