Boeing Defense, Space & Security is currently looking for a Senior Quality Manager in San Antonio, TX. In this role the candidate will manage and oversee inspection activities for Military/Commercial Derivatives (747, 757, 737 and 767 variants)
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers that develop and maintain quality processes and systems in support of effective and efficient quality system
  • Develops and administers directives, policies, processes, and procedures activities to assure program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are deployed
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures, and strategies to maintain and improve organizational and quality system performance
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the identified location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/MRO/inspection environment
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Currently holds an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or possess an FAA Repairman’s certificate
  • 3+ years of experience working with Defense contracts and customer requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or More years Twin Isle and VIP Aircraft Experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or higher. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Advanced Technical degree (computer science, engineering, math, etc ) preferred but not required
  • Direct experience performing in quality engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, system engineering, or change management
  • Solid working knowledge of quality tools (APQP, Early Quality Involvement, RCCA)
  • Experience with surveillance and compliance audits
  • Prior Quality management experience
  • New airplane certification experience
  • Direct engagement in strategy development

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic will be provided to internal selections.

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 20 of the time.
