Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Position to be located onsite in El Segundo, CA.

They must be able to collaborate closely with our LMA customer as well as our NGAS executives and program leadership. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who are able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.

Primary responsibilities require support of F-35 Program Management integration activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate with stakeholders, provide performance analysis and visibility
  • Support Operating Unit (OU) PM organization of OU data and develop leadership briefs, facilitate program reviews
  • Provide analysis to support OU requirements to ensure the integrity of the OU baseline to meet established goals, per F-35 requirements (metrics, etc.)
  • Maintain OU metrics in adherence to established procedures (AS Sector, F-35 Specific)
  • Manage OU strategic rhythm and reporting on behalf of/with the OU PM
  • Support OU proposal activities
  • Coordinate/facilitate internal/external meetings with applicable stakeholders including developing the agenda, capturing action items, managing closure of action items
  • Coordinate package development for recurring and ad-hoc / special meetings
  • Focal point for IPRS monthly reporting (metrics, comments, RTG, etc.)
  • Risk & Opportunity Integration: coordinate capture and tracking of identified risks & opportunities
  • Operations integration & EAC/Pressures identify/capture & track
  • Program Management Meeting: presentation integration and action item tracking
  • Interface with customer & F-35 Leadership, instill confidence, promote partnership, recognition, and opportunities
  • Cross-Function integration necessary to support and resolve internal/external inquiries

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management:

  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of experience OR Masters Degree with 8 years of experience OR High School Diploma with 14 years of experience. Experience must be in the following: supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, accounting, program scheduling/cost analysis, subcontracts administration, procurement
  • Must have project management / program integration on an aerospace and defense program
  • Must have experience in management to a project/program baseline, including use of associated performance metrics
  • Must have experience in coordinating & managing business deliverables for an executive level leader
  • Must have experience to meet fast-paced deadlines
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Experience
  • Prior support of program leadership in a Program Management / Integration role within the Aerospace industry
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Tableau
Salary Range: $109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
