Survival Flight is accepting resumes for a full-time Field Maintenance Supervisor position to be based in Batesville, Arkansas. The Field Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and support to the Field Aviation Maintenance Technicians. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization, very organized with an attention to details, can work independently, and does not require direct supervision to complete job tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicating and coordinating with the 135 Maintenance Manager and Aviation Maintenance Technicians the scheduling of maintenance taking into consideration such factors as weather, tools, parts, supplies, facilities, job requirements, aircraft out of service time and manpower.
- Responsible for hiring, performing annual performance reviews, and disciplinary action of the assigned Aviation Maintenance Technicians in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance and 135 Maintenance Manager.
- Coordinating and approving the scheduling of assigned Aviation Maintenance Technicians time off and vacations to ensure every base has maintenance coverage, including payroll times and managing overtime.
- Coordinating technical and logistical support including being on call for after-hours support.
- Providing daily updates to the 135 Maintenance Manager regarding after-hours calls.
- Promoting professional development of the Aviation Maintenance Technicians.
- Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures to ensure the airworthiness of all aircraft and reliability of all maintenance functions and maintenance personnel.
- Review and approve materials requested by the Aviation Maintenance Technicians.
- Ensure all maintenance is documented and performed in accordance with Survival Flight policies and Title 14 CFR Regulations as appliable.
- Perform Base Audits at each assigned base.
- Along with the 135 Maintenance Manager plan aviation maintenance goals and activities through evaluation and assessment of current and future needs for assigned Field Bases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of two years of an Aviation Science trade or vocational school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Valid Drivers License
- Two years of experience with Bell 206L4 and 407 helicopters
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Must possess the ability to take initiative and follow up on all matters regarding the aircraft
- Must have effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in highly stressful situations
- Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, Internet Explorer, and email
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience working for an EMS helicopter program
- Three to five years of supervisory experience
- Inspection Authorization Certification
