Job Description:

To provide effective leadership for the development, management and delivery of all Fleet Planning activities.
Able to lead and manage a skilled and knowledgeable workforce, for the purpose of developing and delivering Fleet Planning at Strategic and Tactical levels, whilst maximising operational efficiency and minimising costs.

Generic Areas of Responsibility
1 Performance indicators – Ensure the effective leadership of Fleet Planning activities by setting delivery targets, monitoring progress and developing performance improvement programmes. Responsible for: management reviews the assessment of escalated issues for impact on Continuing Airworthiness and generating effective resolution, or sponsoring escalation to senior management, as appropriate.
2 Completion of activities – Ensure all Fleet Planning activities are appropriately documented and the appropriate airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Ensure all Fleet Planning activities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorised personnel. Lead the integration of Fleet Planning activity within the business and in particular the engagement of key stakeholders at all stages of the process. Ensure the communication of any changes into the Fleet Planning activities, as appropriate.
3 Procedure/standards – Lead Fleet Planning’s compliance with the MAI CAME, its associated procedures and standards, and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Drive and implement change as required, whilst ensuring compliance.
4 Safety Management System – Lead the application of Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management and Safety Assurance within Fleet Planning, together with the proactive analysis, mitigation and management of Hazards.
5 Management System Assurance – Ensure all Fleet Planning activities are compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework. Ensure Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits are supported by Fleet Planning personnel. Manage audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information into the relevant reviews. Generate, deliver and implement effective improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitor effectiveness.
6 Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework, and ensure any Regulatory-driven changes are implemented. Lead Fleet Planning’s compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.
7 Contractual – Lead compliance with all applicable contractual requirements, e.g. through support to contract reviews, and ensure the communication and implementation of any changes into Fleet Planning activities, as appropriate.
Key Areas of Responsibility Specific to Capability
1 Manage the development, production and delivery of Strategic Fleet Plans and fleet scenario/options modelling to inform strategic decision-making and determine the operational prioritisation for the fleet.
2 Manage the development, production and delivery of agreed and authorised Tactical Fleet plans for the designated fleet(s), including all scheduled Maintenance events, both On & Off aircraft.
3 Manage the planning of aircraft into maintenance to ensure compliance with the Operator Maintenance Programme, Mandatory requirements, applicable technical instructions and capability embodiment programmes. Maintain oversight of both the development of the Statement of Work (SoW) and creation of the maintenance workpacks.

At a strategic level, manage the Fleet Planning interface with the Customer, Maintenance Tasking & Verification team(s), Part 145 organisation(s), and all other key stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery.
5 In conjunction with key stakeholders, lead and develop the effectiveness of the SoW, Pre-Input and Post-Output Review Meeting (PIRM & PORM) processes and workscope completion achieved during maintenance events, across all responsible maintenance locations, both On & Off aircraft. Ensure escalated issues are assessed, effective solutions generated and monitored, or sponsor escalation to senior management, as appropriate.
6 Manage changes in the Customer’s requirements, as they affect the fleet and maintenance plans, e.g.. Fatigue Life limits, Capability upgrades, Customer-approved modification programmes, etc.
